/Liberty HealthShare is a Christian membership-based healthcare sharing program. Established in 1995 in Canton, OH as the Gospel Light Mennonite Church Medical Aid Plan, Liberty HealthShare currently has a community of more than 220,000 members. When you meet your AHP all eligible bills will be published for sharing for your household. The Liberty HealthShare deductible is called the Annual Unshared Amount or AUA. This is the amount of an eligible expense that doesn’t qualify for sharing. This amount is calculated upon each members enrollment date until their next annual enrollment date.
However, Liberty has a unique program called HealthTrac. Some conditions that can be managed with lifestyle changes (such as those related to obesity or tobacco use) are eligible for sharing during the first year as long as the member is enrolled the HealthTrac coaching program and meets their health goals.
With Liberty Share, you will receive 70% of eligible medical bills up to $125,000 per incident. The pricing for this option depends on your age and whether you’re single, a couple, or a family. For a single person under 30 that doesn’t visit the doctor much, this option is pretty perfect.
