Home Health services are provided to beneficiaries who reside in private residences. Medically necessary services include: Skilled nursing, specialized therapies and medical supplies can be provided if the beneficiary resides in an adult care home (such as a rest home or family care home).
We work with agencies to provide services to help all Victorians. As of 1 February 2021, the Department of Health and Human Services has been separated into two new departments: the Department of Health (DH) and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
Certification means: The service is in compliance with the federal requirements 42 CFR Part 484.1-484.55 and is eligible to receive payment under the Medicare program. The service must have a Home Health Agency (HHA) state license issued by the Department prior to being certified in the Medicare/Medicaid program.
