(1) Reproductive Health Reproductive health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, in all matters relating to the reproductive system and to its functions and processes.
Alongside health-care coverage, achieving sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing requires governments to allow and enable individuals to be able to make decisions about their own sexual and reproductive lives, and exercise their sexual and reproductive rights.
Reproductive rights are directly connected to the right to health (among other rights, see Chapter 4). The right to health entitles women “to reproductive health care ser- vices, goods and facilities that are”9avail- able, accessible, acceptable and of good quality.
