The course teaches managers, supervisors and individuals how to assist a co-worker who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. However course participants will learn mental health first aid skills that can be applied to help any adult.
Mental Health First Aid trainings are funded by the King County Mental Illness and Drug Dependency (MIDD) Plan Initiative PRI-07 – Mental Health First Aid. These sessions are open to the public, though space may be limited. Course and course materials are included (a $170 value per participant).
Classes usually consist of 30 people or less are offered in a respectful, comfortable environment. The adult Mental Health First Aid course is appropriate for anyone age 18 and older who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. The adult course is available in both English and Spanish.
